OF THE NORTH VALLEY

Everyone is welcome to this support group aimed at offering information, opportunities for sharing experiences, resources, and advocacy for parents of children with special needs.

Meetings are held on the
second Tuesday of every month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
at the North Valley Regional Library located at
40410 N. Gavilan Peak Pkwy in Anthem, AZ
(connected to Boulder Creek HS)

Meet and mingle with old and new group participants while enjoying refreshments.  Bring recent pictures or school work samples to share!  Invite one new parent to this unique and special gathering!

July -
Planning for the new school year -
Do you have questions about what defines FAPE? 
Come ask questions of AZ Parent Advocate, Kristina Blackledge and bring your child's IEP or 504 to the meeting* for a FREE, brief (limited to 10 minutes) review and recommendations!  
This is always a popular topic, so come early!
Reviews will be limited to the first 20 attendees. 
(*Please note that discussion of your child's documents will not be confidential
as other participants will be present)

Tentative:  Dr. Joel Morgan, presented by DAN! Moms of Anthem - supporting biomedical treatment of Autism
Dr. Morgan is a local Defeat Autism Now (DAN!) Doctor who will be available to answer questions, inform parents, and give parents a clear direction on how helping their children.  Biomedical treatments are not just for Autism.  It can treat a variety of disorders and issues including ADD/ADHD, PANDAS, gastrointestinal, autoimmune, and many others. 
Please come and learn lots of GREAT information, ask questions, and add to the conversations.

Raising a child with a disability is EXPENSIVE! - learn how to get help

November - 
Just for Dads! - Dads don't often get a chance to get out to meet other dads, listen or share experiences, and learn tips that work for parenting a child with a disability. 
This meeting is limited to Dads ONLY please!
